SCIENTIFIC GUIDELINES

GUIDELINES FOR SCIENTIFIC PAPER/ POSTER PRESENTATIONS

  • Scientific paper/ e-poster presentation is open for all delegates, postgraduate students, BDS students (first year to final year) including interns.
  • Registration in conference is must for paper/e-poster presentation.
  • Categories of paper/e-poster presentation – Original Research/ Case Reports/ Case Series/ Narrative reviews.
  • The maximum number of presenters for any scientific paper/ e-poster is 2 and both should be registered.
  • Both the presenters will receive a certificate and both the participants will be allowed to present the paper/ e-poster.
  • Both presenters have to be physically present during the presentation.
  • Medium of communication will be English.
  • Abstracts for paper/poster once submitted cannot be changed.
  • The work presented should be original, unpublished, and should not have been previously presented at national/ international meetings.
  • Abstract for presentations should be submitted at https://46thidaupstate.com/ using abstract submission portal on or before 15th September 2024. Registration ID is to be used in all communications.
  • It is mandatory to rename the file to be uploaded with your conference registration number & also mention your conference registration number in the presentation. Do not mention your institution names & guide names on your presentation.
  • Last date of submission of final /complete paper/ e-poster presentation is 15th October 2024.
  • The abstract must not be more than 300 words.
  • Abstract must not contain figures, tables, photos, or illustrations.
  • Use Times New Roman, font size 12 with double spacing for preparing the abstract.
  • Abstracts for Original Research papers must consist of Aim and Objectives, Material & Methods, Results and Conclusion.
  • Abstract for Case Report/Series-Introduction, Case report, Discussion, Conclusion.
  • Abstract for Narrative Reviews – Introduction, Search Strategy, Discussion, Conclusion.
  • Presentation should be prepared with Windows Operating system, and prepared in Microsoft Power Point 2007 or higher versions. Use legible, standard Microsoft Power Point fonts.
  • Each participant will be given 10 minutes: 8 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for

  • Abstracts for Original Research must include the following sections: Aim, Methodology, Results, and Conclusion.
  • Abstract for Case Report/Series- Introduction, Case report, Discussion, Conclusion.
  • Abstract for Narrative Reviews– Introduction, Search Strategy, Discussion, Conclusion.
  • Presentation must fit within one PowerPoint slide (Microsoft PowerPoint). The page size should be 16:9, with 1080 resolution, a maximum size of 10 Mb, in JPEG format, and in portrait orientation. Avoid using animation files, movies or sound links in the presentation.
  • Each participant will be given 6 minutes (4 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for discussion).
  • Best e-poster prize will be awarded for all students’ batches year- wise.
  • Best paper prize for delegate and PG students is also separate.
